ANNE VEAL (she/they) is a Nashville-based performance artist, improv facilitator and Program Director of Unscripted. She has been improvising for over 15 years and trained with Upright Citizens Brigade and The Annoyance. Anne has a decade of teaching experience in NYC, Canada, the EU and Nashville. Previously she served as the Operations Director at Brooklyn Heights Community Garden in North Nashville. And in even more previous times she was a classical actor, a mixologist, and a weirdo artist in the woods.

Anne's performance work sits at the intersection of improvisation and theatre, whether making spontaneous theatre from found objects, improvising plays or live directing. She is grateful to work with Unscripted as it helps her stay rooted in the core tenets of improv - staying present, playful and curious. She believes the surprise and accident of the moment are the most important gifts we can train ourselves to receive, onstage or off.
