Cystinosis and Me: Speak Up, Speak Out!

In July 2023, Unscripted had the opportunity to partner with Believe, Ltd at Speak Up, Speak Out: Cystinosis and Me as part of the Cystinosis Research Network Family Conference.

Unscripted teachers Anne + Emma improvised with youth ages 13-22 living with Cystinosis, in order to help grow their confidence, feel more comfortable performing, and have a joyful, creative, good time!

Participants used the creative connections built in improv to lead right into developing their own spoken word poetry with Southern Word.

Third Beat: Improv for Older Adults

In Spring 2022, we partnered with FiftyForward and Metro Parks Elizabeth Park Senior Center to teach 6 week improv classes to older adults in the community.

AND the program won the Salute to Excellence Diversified Trust New Generations Award in October 2022!
